Key functions of Gram Sabha
Following are the important and specific functions of Gram Sabha:
  • To carry out various efforts for village development.
  • To create awareness of various schems for development of village and villagers.
  • To support lower class and labour from community welfare programmes.
  • To aware villagers about the mass education and family welfare.
  • To promote unity and harmony among all sections of the society in the village.
  • To discuss and recommend appropriate action with regard to reports of the Vigilance Committee.
