How to get Electrical Supervisor Licence in Maharashtra?

Steps to apply for supervisor licence in Maharashtra

1. Qualification and Experience required

Education	Experience
SSC + Wireman exam	3 year practical experience under direct such of competency certificate holder or qualified electrical engineer. And out of this 3 years 2 years should be after passing wireman examination. Or Any person who has passed ITI in electrician/wireman trade with apprenticeship certificate of NCTVT and having 1 year experience.
Degree or Diploma (Electrical, Electronics and power or similar to it)	1 year experience in electrical field.

2. For exemption from supervisor examination:

• A candidate who possesses Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Defence Services approved by All India Council for Technical Education and thereafter successful completion of Government Approved Certificate Course on electrical safety and design aspects of electrical installation or practical experience of one year in the field of Electrical Engineering.
• National Apprenticeship Certificate from the National Council for Vocational Training in  Electrician trade, thereafter practical experience of one year in the field of Electrical Engineering ; or A certificate issued by the Director General of Employment and Training, New Delhi and Government of Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Department approved course equivalent to the course and thereafter practical experience of one year in the field of Electrical Engineering. 
• Provided that the candidate eligible for exemption from the examination for Electrical Supervisor shall apply in Form “A”

3. Experience Required

• Practical experience of one year in electrical field, issued by State or Central employment and Training department.
• National Apprenticeship Certificate in Electrical.
• One year practical experience in electrical field and having educational qualification from all India council of Technical Education approved university.
• One year field and working experience under Registered Electrical Contractor.
• Supervisor experience working with any Electrical Contracting Private Companies.  

4. Applying for electrical supervisor examination

• There is two papers and one interview (oral exam) when applying for supervisor licence. Details related to examination are discussed below.
• In written examination for candidates related following qualifications consists two papers each of 50 marks discussed below.

      For electrical candidates: 

      Paper 1: 50 marks, 2 hours, Electrical theory.   

      Paper 2: 50 marks, 2 hours, Electricity utilisation. 

    

      For candidates dealing with mining: 

      Paper 1: 50 marks, 2 hours, Electrical theory.

      Paper 2: 50 marks, 2 hours, mines installation.

 3. Application fee: 

• Information related about fee is available on official website of cei. And to make counter challan visit GRAS portal. Making of counter challan or online payment in GRAS are discussed below in point 2.

 4. Application submitting: 

• As there is no online application facility from Maharashtra government for this application. 
• To  submit your application or verifying it, you need to visit District Electrical Inspectorate office.
