A Major Part Of The Immune System Is Located In The Digestive System
रोगप्रतिकारक शक्तीचा एक मुख्य भाग पाचन तंत्रामध्ये स्थित आहे
What Is The Digestive System?
- Around 70% of our immune system is in our digestive, in the form of gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT)- present in Large and Small Intestine.
- An important component of our immune system called plasma cells (which give rise to invader-defending antibodies) also reside within the GALT.
Who has strong digestive system?
Person with strong GUTS (gut associated lymphoid tissue-GALT)
- Our gut is the major channel between the external environment and the internal systems of our body.
- It is exposed to plenty of germs and harmful invaders such as bacteria and viruses (CORONA) present in food particles on a daily basis.
- These toxic agents are perceived by the immune system in the gut as being harmful to our body and attacked.
- That being said, our body does not reject everything we put into it. This process is known as tolerance. When our immune system rejects an otherwise harmless substance, we are labeled as being sensitive or allergic to that food/food ingredient.
- When your digestive system is not functioning properly, it can result in poor nutrient absorption/malnourishment and lead to a number of chronic problems and symptoms, including acid reflux, indigestion, irritable bowel disease and others.
- But it can also directly impact overall health as well as the health of your immune system, nervous system, hormonal health and more.
What Is The Immune System?
- The major function of the immune system is to protect the body from environmental agents such as microbes, virus (CORONA), bacteria or chemicals, thereby preserving the integrity of the body.
- The immune system is comprised of three interrelated functions: (1) Removal of excess fluids, (2) Absorption of fatty acids (3) Formation of white blood cells (WBCs), and initiation of immunity.
Healthy steps/ways to strengthen your immune system-(90% steps are related to Digestion)
